The Monster Xtracts Story

Founded in 2017 in Jackson, Michigan, by CEO Daniel Kidder, Monster runs under the "Potency for the People" tagline, a small-batch, value-positioned concentrate brand built on the idea that good extract shouldn't require a premium price tag. The Jackson processing facility (Michigan CRA license PR-000027) produces one of the widest extract menus in the state: live resin and live badder from flash-frozen flower, ice-water solventless live rosin, Sauce on the Rocks (diamonds in terp sauce), sugar, caviar, Desert Sand THCa crystalline, distillate, RSO syringes, tinctures, 0.5g and 1g 510 cartridges, proprietary Dart Pods, and the Monster Medibles gummy and confection line. "We know the Mitten like the back of our hand."

Banzen is the Coldwater dispensary of choice for premium cannabis, and a steady stop for dab fans driving in from Indiana, Ohio, or Illinois. Monster offers one of the broadest menus of concentrates of any single brand. If you've got a preferred consistency, they probably make it.

Our budtenders can break down the texture differences in plain terms — badder vs. sugar vs. sauce vs. diamonds, and point you toward the right format for your rig, vape, or pre-roll wrap. If you're new to concentrates, the Dart Pods and disposable carts are the easiest entry point. If you're already deep in dab territory, the live resin and rosin are where to start.

What People Ask About Monster Xtracts

Both start from flash-frozen flower (the “live” part means the plant wasn’t dried and cured first, preserving more terpenes). The difference is post-extraction texture: live resin tends toward a saucier, more crystalline finish, while live badder is whipped to a softer, butter-like consistency that’s easier to scoop. Same starting material, different texture for your dab tool.

Monster’s THCa diamond/crystalline format, pure THCa crystals with very little plant material or terpene content. Extremely high-potency but flavor-neutral, so most people pair it with a terp sauce or live resin to restore flavor. Great for building tolerance or adding potency to a bowl or pre-roll.

The 510 cart screws onto any standard 510 vape battery, universal hardware. The Dart Pod is Monster’s proprietary pod system, designed for their own battery. If you already own a 510 setup, stick with the cart; if you’re starting fresh and want a simpler closed-system option, the Dart Pod is the cleaner choice.

Some of it. Monster makes a solventless live rosin pressed from ice-water hash, no chemical solvents at any stage. The rest of the concentrate menu (live resin, badder, sugar, distillate, etc.) uses hydrocarbon or ethanol extraction. Look for “live rosin” or “solventless” on the label if you specifically want a no-solvent product.

RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) is a thick, full-spectrum cannabis oil sold in a 1g syringe. It’s typically taken orally, dosed in small increments under the tongue or added to food, by people looking for an alternative to smoking or vaping. Monster RSO is standardized for potency; check the label for total cannabinoid content and start with a dose smaller than a grain of rice.

Sealed container, cool, dark, out of direct sunlight. Heat causes concentrates to lose terpenes and shift consistency (badder slides toward sap, sugar can melt). The fridge works for long-term storage. Let the container warm back up to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. The same rules apply to cartridges: store upright and away from heat.
